You will learn what Producers can do to help the Showcaller
Producers can make a huge difference in managing consistent issues we face that you could head off at the pass with good client management, including :
Rehearsal schedules: Often produced by the client based on Presenter availability without taking into account different complexities of presentations
Using notes in Presenter view. Proper pre-production briefing would save a lot of time!
Timely content delivery
My Training
My training provides you with a shortcut to useful and practical information.
How you communicate with the showcrew in a way they will be used to and understand. If you haven’t much experience they will support you but they will be very happy that you have the basics to build on.
Understand what materials to provide to the showcaller in the most useful way. Less is always more.
You will learn:
- Best practice.
- Common terminology
- Understanding what each member of crew does and how you work with them
- The process from the time you arrive on site to show delivery
- Managing content delivery and rehearsal schedules
- Shortcuts in building screen presets and managing comfort monitor set ups
- What you physically need to showcall
- How to put together a showbook during the rehearsal process with ever changing content
- How to call cues
- Hybrid working
- Running orders including possible digital running orders. I work with pencil and paper. It is possible to work digitally if you are comfortable with that. My training doesn’t focus on that method but will cover ways you could choose to enable it for yourself. I am not a personal fan of ShoFlo unless the event is pretty well tied down before rehearsals.
- Avoiding complexity where it isn’t necessary.
- Being prepared to say No!
